About
The Meaning of Our Name
Kempu Pinem means Grandchild of Pinem (my grandma’s family name) in Karonese, where I am from.
Our Purpose is to share the memories of my childhood by bringing to you all the beautiful food and plants that my grandma taught me about.
In this way I like to think I am keeping her spirit alive, and I love to see the joy in people faces when I share a piece of myself and my heritage.
Our Story
Our plant boutique is a result of our undying passion for plants and gardening It is a place where we can share my knowledge and expertise with the world. My grandmother was an avid gardener, and she always had a knack for making the most out of anything. When I was a child, she would teach me the importance of taking care of plants, and how to nurture them properly. She would often take me out to the garden with her, and show me how to cultivate the soil, how to water the plants, and even how to prune them. It was a special time together, and I treasured those moments.
We have decided to keep the memory and spirit of my grandmother alive by starting our own indoor plant boutique. We started this boutique with the intention of providing people with wide variety of indoor plants - pots, all carefully chosen for their aesthetic appeal and quality, providing garden accessories such as sphagnum moss, Clay balls (Leca) and fertiliser from Growth Technology. We also offer advice to customers to help them choose the right plants for their home or lifestyle and care advice for those looking to keep their plants healthy and thriving.
We are so grateful and proud of what I have created. We are excited to continue to share our passion for plants journey where we can create a place where people will be able to find all the things they need to make their homes more beautiful and their gardens more vibrant. We are looking forward to seeing the success of our boutique and the happiness it brings to people who are passionate about plants and gardening.
